When your information is collected via Shop.ActionTarget.com, that information may be shared across Action Target's family of companies, which includes Law Enforcement Targets Inc., Mancom Manufacturing, and ATA Defense Industries. This does not apply to information collected for our text messaging program, which is not shared across our family of companies; see section 10.
This Privacy and Cookies Policy explains how Action Target uses personal information we collect and how you can limit our use of that personal data. By visiting our website (Shop.ActionTarget.com) and all subdirectories therein, you agree to accept the practices found in this Policy.
1.1 We gather information that directly identifies you (e.g. your name, email address, mobile phone number, shipping and billing addresses) and information that does not directly identify you (e.g. your behavior patterns when you visit our website). We collect information that does not directly identify you in order to evaluate our site and ensure that our site and services run properly.
We may also collect your IP address through the placement of cookies (see sections 6 and 7 on cookies and their management below).
1.2 If you choose to join our text messaging program, we also collect and retain a record of your consent, including the date and time you opted in, the sign-up form or keyword you used to opt in, and your acceptance of our Mobile Terms of Service. See section 10.
2.1 Information is gathered in two ways:
(1) indirectly (e.g. using website technology); and
(2) directly (e.g. when you create a Shop.ActionTarget.com account, buy a product, sign up for our weekly e-flyer, join our text messaging program, or you otherwise provide your information when you interact with us).
3.1 We always explain why and how we might contact you at the point you give your information to us. If you purchase a product from us, you will receive an email confirmation at the email address you provided. Providing an email address at the time of purchase does not mean we can send you promotional emails without your express permission. If you are receiving promotional emails from Shop.ActionTarget.com and would like to stop, you can unsubscribe at any time using the "unsubscribe from this list" or "update subscription preferences" link at the bottom of the email.
3.2 Text messages are a separate choice from email. You will only receive marketing text messages from us if you have expressly opted in to our text messaging program. Providing a mobile phone number at the time of purchase does not mean we can send you marketing text messages, and opting in to text messages is never a condition of any purchase. You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, and you can reply HELP for assistance. See section 10.
4.1 We might use your information to:
(1) remember you when you visit our website and track your browsing patterns by using cookies. You can prevent this; sections 6 and 7 deal with this in more detail;
(2) contact you by email, mail, or telephone to let you know about any of our products, services, or promotions;
(3) send you text messages, if you have opted in to our text messaging program, including promotional messages and service messages such as order updates, shipping notifications, and shopping cart reminders;
(4) ensure materials on the website are presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer or mobile device;
(5) assess and understand customer feedback and identify usage hotspots.

6.1 A cookie is a small piece of information that is placed on your computer when you visit certain websites. We also use similar technologies such as pixels and tags, which work in comparable ways and are covered by this section.
6.2 We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:
(1) Analytics cookies that anonymously remember your computer or mobile device when you visit our website. They keep track of browsing patterns and build up a profile of how our visitors use our website.
(2) Service cookies that help us make our website work as efficiently as possible; remember your registration and login details; and remember your settings preferences.
(3) Marketing cookies and pixels that allow us to recognize you across visits, understand which products you have viewed or added to your shopping cart, and send you relevant email and text message communications where you have consented to receive them.
6.3 Some cookies and similar technologies on our website are set and read by third party service providers acting on our behalf, including our website analytics provider and our email and text message marketing platform. These providers may access the information those technologies collect in order to deliver their services to us. Each of these third party organizations maintains its own privacy policy governing its handling of that information, and we do not permit them to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
6.4 The website uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart including when you have abandoned your cart and this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.
7.1 Most browsers allow you to turn off cookies. To do this, look at the "help" menu of your browser. Switching off cookies may restrict your use of the website and/or delay or affect the way in which it operates.
8.1 The password you provide when creating an account is encrypted to ensure protection against unauthorized access to your personal information.
8.2 We take data security very seriously and do our best to protect user privacy. No data transmission over the internet can be entirely secure, and therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and/or use of the website. Any information that you send is at your own risk and may be read by others. However, once we have received your personal information, we use strict procedures to protect its security.
9.1 We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or in good-faith believing such action is necessary to comply with the law.
9.2 We never sell personal information or pass it to third parties for marketing purposes without your permission.
9.3 SMS opt-in and consent data. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
9.4 Your mobile phone number, your text message opt-in, and your consent status are not shared, sold, or rented to any other third party, and are not shared with Action Target's family of companies for their own marketing purposes.
10.1 If you expressly opt in, we send recurring promotional and service text messages to the mobile number you provide. Promotional messages may include sales, new product announcements, and shopping cart reminders. Service messages may include order confirmations, shipping and delivery notifications, and account alerts.
10.2 Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, and your participation in the program is voluntary. You must be at least 18 years old to join our text messaging program.
10.3 Message frequency varies. We do not charge for text messages, but message and data rates may apply, and you are responsible for any charges from your wireless provider.
10.4 You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You can reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the email address in section 5.
10.5 How your mobile number and consent information are handled is described in sections 1.2, 6.4, 9.3, and 9.4. The full terms of the program are in our Mobile Terms of Service, available at ATI Terms of Service.
11.1 If we change our Policy, we will post the changes on this page. Please check the website regularly for any changes to this Policy.
